I’ll gently guide you when you need a little direction, disappear into the background when you don’t, and keep an eye out for the moments happening around you while you’re busy enjoying them.
I’ll make sure you get those important family photographs, steal you away for a few relaxed portraits, and then get you straight back to the people you love.
I’ll probably cry during your ceremony, laugh at the speeches and get far too excited when the dance floor kicks off.
Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable enough to forget I’m even there.

HEY, I’M RUTH
I’m the photographer who will probably cry during your ceremony, laugh at the inappropriate speeches and spend most of your wedding quietly hunting down the moments you didn’t even realise were happening.
I’ve been photographing people for more than 14 years, and I’ve learned that the best photographs rarely happen when everyone is looking at the camera.
They’re the ones where Dad wipes away a tear. Your best friend makes you laugh. Your children run into your arms. Your nan gets on the dance floor.
That’s the stuff I want to photograph.
